I too believe that anger, although a natural emotion, can be used destructively or constructively. The techniques mentioned here are particularly useful. I like the idea of the "Thermometer". And then breathing really does help, even if you just breath in slowly and exhale slowly when in a tense angry mood. I use it all the time.
