During the last six-months, I coached one Executive on-site at his office in San Diego weekly for six sessions. I have spent four days in San Francisco with two physicians. I traveled to coach a heart surgeon in Houston and a Medical School Dean in New Jersey.

Last winter, an Indiana physician asked to be seen at Disney World in Orlando, Florida while he was vacationing with his family. I routinely travel to Pennsylvania to see physicians who work for one healthcare organization with whom we have a contract.

Mastering Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the key to outstanding performance in technical, managerial, professional, leadership and entrepreneurial roles. We all know someone who did not exactly shine at school, but went on to be hugely successful in their chosen careers. The reason is simple: IQ is only one aspect of doing well. Today’s engineering leaders – from top executives to line managers – must have more than just the right technical skills and IQ. They must possess emotional intelligence. Emotionally intelligent leaders help organizations create competitive advantage through: increased performance, enhanced innovation, effective use of time and resources, improved motivation and teamwork, and restored trust.

Texas A&M University Master of Engineering Technical Management (METM) program uniquely addresses EQ and developing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral capabilities so graduates will become effective leaders. METM is a distance-learning professional graduate program for early to mid-career technical professionals. This rigorous program is industry-oriented, and relevant to electronics, manufacturing, automation, energy, process and related industrial channels. The program targets engineering and technical professionals and allows them to become future leaders in technical management positions, while continuing to work in their companies. The program’s curriculum, carefully crafted in consultation with industrial leaders, provides a unique blend of industry-critical skills in managing people, projects and profitability. The curriculum is taught by three groups of professionals: professors, professor-experts, and the industry experts. The curriculum is 20%, 60%, and 20%, analytical, technical management and capstone project, respectively. The graduates of this program will meet industry needs for qualified technical managers and leaders resulting from the expected industrial growth in the short- and medium-term future.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching Is More Than Coaching

All coaching including sports should include, self-awareness, self-control, social awareness and relationship management. Coaching is way a of being, an emotionally intelligent management style.

 If one of the goals of executive coaching is return on investment, it is enormously useful to use Pre and Post Assessments. In addition to the four EI scales mentioned above, other scales include, self-regard, assertiveness, stress tolerance, empathy, problem solving, reality testing, social responsibility and optimism.

 In contrast to IQ, anyone can increase his or her emotional intelligence scores with coaching and skill enhancement by a well trained Emotional Intelligence Coach.

How Much Do Life Coaches make a year?

Entry-level salaries are quite low for life coaches. With less than one year of experience, you can expect to earn $25,000 to $40,000 per year. This will increase to the $50,000 to $60,000 range after a few years. Peak earning potential comes after eight to 10 years of experience with a maximum in the range of $80,000. Approved Domestic Violence Training

This 40 Hour Training is accepted in all States. It was written to be consistent with California Penal Code 1203.098. This training is accepted by the State of Texas. This 40-hour training is to certify you as a facilitator to provide classes for individuals that have been ordered to attend a Batterers’ Treatment Program. 40 Hour Batterers’ Intervention Certification training must be completed one (1) year from purchase date.
